An established construction and civil engineering business is looking to recruit an experienced Plant Fitter to join their plant team. This is a hands-on role focused on the servicing, repair and maintenance of a wide range of heavy construction plant, small tools and road-going vehicles.
The Role
As a Plant Fitter, you will play a key role in ensuring plant and equipment are safe, reliable and ready for use, helping projects run efficiently and without delay.
Key responsibilities include:
- Servicing, repairing and maintaining heavy construction machinery and plant
- Preparing tools, parts and materials ahead of daily schedules
- Carrying out diagnostics, fault finding and repairs
- Occasional collection of urgent parts from suppliers
- Maintaining company equipment and vehicle to a high standard
Plant & Equipment You’ll Work On
- 110 tonne forward tipping dumpers
- 325 tonne excavators
- Rollers
- Small plant and tools
- Lifting accessories and attachments
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 qualification in Plant Mechanics / Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Strong experience in plant maintenance and repair
- Full UK Driving Licence
