The Opportunity
SourceCo Recruitment are currently working with a well-established and fast-paced logistical business, who are looking to add a Logistics Coordinator to their time-critical team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in transport or freight forwarding who thrives in a high-pressure, solutions-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing customer enquiries and orders via phone and email
- Planning, booking, and tracking UK & European shipments
- Providing transport solutions across road and airfreight
- Handling time-critical and line stoppage situations
- Sourcing and liaising with suppliers and carriers
- Producing accurate quotations and job updates
- Ensuring all jobs are completed, cost-effective, and profitable
- Closing jobs, obtaining PODs, and maintaining accurate records
- Working closely with operations, warehouse, and accounts teams
- Monitoring KPIs and maintaining system accuracy
Working Hours
4 on / 4 off shift pattern (including weekends) 06:00 - 18:00 (12-hour shifts) Average 44 hours per week
What We're Looking For
- Experience within transport, logistics, or freight forwarding
- Strong knowledge of European transport planning
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident using systems, MS Office, and databases
- A proactive, can-do attitude
Desirable:
- CPC qualification
- Additional language skills
