A well established manufacturing business within the food production sector is looking for a reliable and hands on Technical Operative to join their busy operational team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, likes variety in their role, and wants long term job security with ongoing training and development.

The Role

Youll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of production operations, maintaining high safety and quality standards, and supporting the wider site team. This is a physically active role where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating and monitoring production equipment and control systems
  • Supporting daily production targets and minimising downtime
  • Carrying out routine checks, housekeeping, and hygiene duties
  • Completing production paperwork and stock checks
  • Operating FLT and plant machinery where required
  • Supporting with site safety procedures and permit controls
  • Assisting with breakdown response and general operational duties
  • Working closely with a small team to keep production running efficiently

What Were Looking For

  • Previous experience within manufacturing, production, feedmill, or industrial environments
  • Good communication and basic numeracy skills
  • Comfortable working with machinery and computer systems
  • Physically fit and comfortable being on your feet throughout shifts
  • A proactive and reliable attitude with strong teamwork skills
  • FLT experience would be advantageous
