We are seeking a dedicated Press Operative to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining printing presses to produce high-quality sheet metal components. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills in fabrication, assembly, and tooling while contributing to the production of precision-engineered products.
Working hours: Monday to Thursday: 7.00am to 4:00pm
- Inspects products, evaluates finished pieces for compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Advises Supervisor of defective tooling, jigs or fixtures or any other types of manufacturing problems that prevent production targets being achieved.
- Trained in manual handling techniques and carry out safe working practices.
- Any other ad hoc duties as required.
- Proven experience in fabrication, grinding, welding, or related mechanical roles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of sheet metal processes and press operation.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions accurately.
- Knowledge of safety standards relevant to manufacturing environments.
