About the Role
Do you have strong fault-finding skills and experience leading a team within a fast-paced engineering environment? If you're an electrically biased Engineering professional ready to step into a leadership role within a dynamic and supportive environment, we'd love to hear from you. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and reliable operation of machinery, with a strong focus on electrical systems, control panels, automation, and reactive fault diagnosis.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee planning and execution of PPM schedules and reactive repairs
- Take ownership of electrical fault finding, diagnostics and system improvements
- Drive engineering best practices and continuous improvement initiatives
- Improve equipment reliability and eliminate recurring electrical faults
- Lead, manage and mentor a small team of Engineers
- Participate in the on-call rota (week-on/week-off, Friday to Friday)
- Support and manage external contractors for servicing and maintenance
Requirements
- Strong electrical engineering background with hands-on fault-finding experience
- Completed an Engineering Apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
- Strong communication skills with the ability to create a positive and high-performing team culture
- Previous experience leading or supervising an engineering team
- Experience within food manufacturing, agriculture, FMCG, or a similar industrial environment (desirable)
