An established, high-volume food manufacturing site is seeking two experienced Quality Assurance Managers to join its technical function. This is a key leadership role focused on driving food safety, quality, and compliance across a fast-paced operation with significant recent investment in technology and systems.
The Role
- Reporting into the site technical leadership, you'll lead and develop a QA team while ensuring robust quality systems, HACCP compliance, and customer standards are consistently met and exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of QA Team Leaders and Auditors
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System and HACCP documentation
- Drive internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement
- Review QA data, non-conformances, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Ensure product, packaging, and ingredient specifications are current and compliant
- Audit production operations to ensure quality and customer standards are achieved
- Support customer audits and external regulatory inspections
- Provide technical input into NPD, trials, and first productions
- Deputise for the Site Technical Manager when required
What We're Looking For
- Essential: Level 3 Food Safety qualification (or equivalent), HACCP qualification for Food Manufacturing
- Desirable: Experience managing QA teams in a food manufacturing environment, strong auditing and regulatory compliance experience, confident communicator with strong problem-solving skills, calm under pressure and comfortable in a fast-moving environment, degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or similar
