Location: Hereford / + semi-regular travel to customer sites.
Salary: ~£40,000 - £50,000 pa, negotiable on experience + discretionary bonus, based on profits (usually ~5% salary).
Benefits: 5 weeks holiday plus Bank Holidays (33 days total), 40 hours per week, early finish Friday.
Requirements:
- Confident and capable Project Engineer, experienced in managing multiple machinery, automation or production line installation projects simultaneously (~10 at a time, ~£1 million in value and above).
- Requirement gathering and taking measurements on site, liaising between customers and internal departments (sales, design, etc.), and managing test and installation process.
- Ability to work autonomously and independently, communicating effectively between all stakeholders (customers, suppliers, internal teams), while forming an integral part of the wider Projects team.
- Prior industry/machinery knowledge, such as packaging, weighing, filling, capping, labelling, sealing, machinery within the food or beverage industry, or transferrable experience from handling, robotics, or plastic moulding.
- Enjoys working as part of a team in a friendly and conscientious Projects department (hybrid/flexible working available).
- Enthusiasm to learn and develop within the role as well as offer guidance & support to junior colleagues.
- Useful tools to succeed would include excellent communication skills, a mechanical engineering background, an experienced commercial head, and (ideally) a project management qualification, such as Prince 2.
