Press Toolmaker looking for your next challenge with a well-established precision engineering business?

We're recruiting on behalf of a long standing manufacturer in Redditch with over 50 years of engineering expertise.

Supplying high quality precision components into sectors including automotive, aerospace, defence and industrial manufacturing, they're investing in their Tool Room and are looking for an experienced Toolmaker to join the team.

The Role You'll play a key part in keeping production running by building, maintaining and repairing a wide range of press tools in a modern, well-equipped Tool Room.

Your responsibilities will include: Building new press tools from engineering drawings.

Repairing, maintaining and refurbishing existing press tooling.

Supporting production with tool breakdowns and fault finding.

Carrying out tool trials and continuous improvement activities.

Working to tight tolerances using conventional machining equipment.

Supporting apprentices and sharing your knowledge where required.

What We're Looking For We're keen to speak with candidates who have: A recognised apprenticeship or equivalent in Toolmaking.

Previous experience building and maintaining press tools.

Strong manual machining skills including milling, turning and surface grinding.

The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

A proactive attitude with excellent attention to detail.

Experience with wire erosion/EDM, CNC machining or progressive press tools would be a real advantage, but isn't essential.

What's On Offer Permanent, full-time position.
