SourceCo Recruitment are currently hiring for a Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a trusted and reputable manufacturing business operating within the plastics sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to join a stable and growing company where you'll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently through planned and reactive maintenance across site equipment and machinery. The role would suit someone with a strong mechanical and electrical maintenance background who enjoys problem solving, working independently, and being hands on within a fast paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Responding quickly and effectively to machinery breakdowns
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
- Conducting routine inspections across plant equipment
- Assisting with machinery installations and upgrades
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records
- Supporting general upkeep of the site and facilities
- Managing and maintaining spare parts stock
- Ensuring equipment is maintained safely and efficiently at all times
- Previous experience within a maintenance engineering role
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault finding skills
- Experience working within manufacturing or production environments
- Electrical qualifications such as City & Guilds or equivalent preferred
- Experience within plastics/PVC manufacturing would be advantageous
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and a proactive attitude
