We are seeking a dedicated Dispatch Operative specializing in Forklift Truck (FLT) operations to join our dynamic logistics team.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and management of materials within our warehouse environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the dispatch and receipt of goods, operating forklift equipment safely and effectively, and maintaining accurate inventory records.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with warehouse experience and mechanical aptitude to contribute to streamlined operations and uphold safety standards.

  • Thursday: 7:00am-16:00pm

Friday: 7.00am to 1.00pm You will need an in date personal counterbalance licence for this role!

Responsibilities This role will be 50% FLT and 50% warehouse operations Operate forklift trucks with precision to load, unload, and transport materials safely within the warehouse.

Manage the warehouse management system to track inventory movements, update stock levels, and ensure data accuracy.

Assist in shipping and receiving activities by preparing goods for dispatch and verifying incoming shipments against delivery documentation.

Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance teams of mechanical issues to minimize downtime.

Handle materials carefully, ensuring proper stacking, storage, and handling procedures are followed to prevent damage or injury.

Support warehouse organization by maintaining clean, safe, and orderly work areas.

Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks, optimize workflow, and meet operational deadlines.

Experience Proven experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity using warehouse management systems.

Demonstrable knowledge of forklift operation, including certification or training in FLT handling.

Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair and maintenance is highly desirable.

Experience in materials handling, shipping & receiving processes, and heavy lifting techniques.

Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and documentation accuracy.

Prior exposure to warehouse safety protocols and adherence to health & safety regulations.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
