Are you an experienced Lab Tech looking for your next step in your career? SourceCo Recruitment are looking for a passionate and skilled Laboratory Technician to play a key role in delivering high-quality testing services within a long-term client in Hereford.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine laboratory work including microbiological, chemical, and serological analysis
- Prepare media and perform testing to meet CLAS, RSA, UKAS, and DEFRA standards
- Use the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to manage tasks and data
- Liaise with internal and external customers to address queries and requests
- Ensure adherence to environmental and QA controls, as well as task schedules
- Participate in external Quality Assurance and Internal Quality Assurance (EQA/IQA) proficiency schemes
Requirements:
- Proven experience or qualifications in laboratory work (Microbiological, Chemical, etc.)
- Ability to follow strict laboratory protocols and standards
- Strong communication skills and customer-focused approach
- Ability to work efficiently in a rotating shift pattern
Salary: £25,445.42 moving to £26,901.88 within first 12 months
Hours of Work: 0700 - 1900 (rotating shift pattern - 7 out of 14 days)
Shift Pattern Example (2-week cycle):
- Week 1: Tue-Wed: Off Thu-Fri: On Sat-Mon: Off
- Week 2: Tue-Wed: On Thu-Fri: Off Sat-Mon: On
