Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong electrical background looking to join a well-established manufacturing business with long-term stability? We're recruiting on behalf of a leading food manufacturing company for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their experienced engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on modern production equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment where no two days are the same.
The Role
You'll play a key role in keeping production running by carrying out reactive and planned maintenance across a variety of automated manufacturing equipment. Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to equipment breakdowns quickly and effectively
- Electrical and mechanical fault finding
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Repairing, testing and recommissioning production machinery
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with engineering standards
- Participating in the engineering call-out rota
What We're Looking For
We're keen to speak with engineers who have:
- Strong electrical bias (approximately 70/30 Electrical/Mechanical)
- Previous experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or another fast-paced production environment
- Excellent electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience working on automated or high-speed manufacturing machinery
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, City & Guilds or equivalent experience)

- Overtime paid at 1.25x after 40 hours
- Weekly call-out allowance (£100 standby payment plus £50 per call-out, plus hourly rate when attending)

Shift Pattern
- Week 1 Monday-Friday: 6:00am-1:45pm
- Saturday: 6:00am-Finish
- Week 2 Monday-Friday: 1:45pm-9:45pm
