Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Food Production Operative to join our busy manufacturing team. Working as part of a production line, you will play an important role in ensuring food products are manufactured, prepared, packed, and labelled efficiently and to the required quality, hygiene, and safety standards. \n The successful candidate will work as part of a team in a fast-paced food production environment, carrying out a range of duties to support the smooth running of the production process. \n Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour \n Hours of work: Rotating weekly 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10:30pm \n All PPE is supplied by the company (hard hats, overalls, ear defenders, hair nets, work boots) \n Lockers for valuables are supplied. \n \n Preparing, handling, and processing food products in accordance with company procedures. \n Operating basic production machinery and equipment safely and correctly following appropriate training. \n Feeding frozen materials, ingredients, packaging, or products onto the production line. \n Assembling, filling, weighing, sealing, packing, and labelling food products as required. \n Checking product weights, appearance, packaging, labels, and dates for accuracy. \n Identifying and reporting any quality issues, damaged products, or equipment problems to the appropriate supervisor. \n Completing production paperwork, quality checks, and other required records accurately. \n Wearing the required protective clothing and personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. \n \n Working Environment \n This is a hands-on, fast-paced production role where you will be working on your feet for extended periods. The role may involve repetitive tasks, moving between different stages of the production line, handling food products and packaging materials, and working in a temperature-controlled manufacturing environment. \n Skills \n \n Experience or familiarity with food production processes is preferred \n Basic math skills for measuring ingredients, calculating quantities, and recording data \n Strong attention to detail to ensure product quality and safety compliance \n Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures \n Good communication skills for effective teamwork within a diverse environment \n \n This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to contribute to high-quality food manufacturing while developing their technical skills.
