We are currently recruiting for an experienced Chilled Warehouse Supervisor to join a busy and fast paced warehouse operation in Tewkesbury. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Team Leader or Warehouse Shift Leader who enjoys leading a team and taking responsibility for the smooth running of day to day warehouse operations. You will play a key role in supervising and motivating warehouse and yard teams, ensuring stock is controlled accurately and that products are handled, stored and dispatched to the required standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise, motivate and support a team of warehouse and yard operatives
  • Organise and effectively utilise the warehouse team to meet daily requirements
  • Monitor stock movements, stock rotation and daily stock checks
  • Ensure warehouse procedures, health & safety and manual handling requirements are followed
  • Monitor chilled warehouse and cold storage conditions
  • Identify and report equipment, operational and maintenance issues
  • Work closely with management, production, maintenance and quality teams to resolve problems
  • Ensure warehouse paperwork and records are completed accurately
  • Ensure customer orders and dispatch documentation are checked correctly
  • Support the loading and unloading of vehicles when required
  • Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised working environment
  • Provide flexible cover for holidays, sickness and breaks
  • Deputise for the Warehouse Manager when required

About You

We're looking for someone who has previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leadership position, ideally within a fast-moving environment. You'll need to be:

  • An experienced warehouse/team leader with strong people management skills
  • A confident communicator who can motivate and manage a team
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and varying shift patterns
  • Positive, reliable and committed
  • Confident working alongside other departments to resolve operational issues
  • A forklift licence and previous experience would be advantageous, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
