Source Co Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Purchasing Administrator on behalf of a well-established and growing business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused individual to join a busy procurement team, supporting purchasing operations, supplier relationships and internal stakeholders.
We are looking for someone with strong administration skills, excellent attention to detail and experience working with purchasing systems, supplier records and order processes.
Salary:£28k per annum Working hours: Monday Thursday 8am - 4:30pm / Friday 8am - 2pm The Role As a Purchasing Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the purchasing function, ensuring orders are processed accurately, suppliers are managed effectively and deliveries are monitored through to completion.
Key
Responsibilities: Create and process purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
Check purchase requisitions and ensure correct approvals are in place.
Track orders from placement through to delivery.
Amend or cancel purchase orders when required.
Maintain accurate supplier records and contact details.
Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.
Monitor outstanding deliveries and resolve delays or shortages.
Liaise with warehouses, stores and internal departments to ensure goods are received correctly.
Provide updates to stakeholders regarding order progress.
Match purchase orders, delivery notes and supplier invoices.
Investigate invoice discrepancies and work with finance teams to resolve issues.
Maintain accurate purchasing records for reporting and audit purposes.
Update procurement systems, databases and supplier information.
Produce purchasing reports and spreadsheets.
Monitor stock levels and support inventory management.
Assist with procurement reporting, supplier performance and cost analysis.
About You We are looking for someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced purchasing environment.
You will have: Strong administration and organisational skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Experience using Microsoft Excel and purchasing/ERP systems.
A proactive approach with strong problem-solving skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
Desirable
Experience: Previous experience within procurement, purchasing or supply chain administration.
Experience using systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
Knowledge of stock control and supplier management processes.
