Job Description

Source Co Recruitment are currently recruiting for Traffic Controllers to join a leading transport operation based at Hams Hall.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy logistics team supporting a key automotive contract.

The Role As a Traffic Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of transport activities, ensuring deliveries run efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service and operational performance.

We're looking for someone who: Has previous experience within transport planning, traffic, logistics or fleet operations.

Is confident dealing with both drivers and customers.

Can remain calm under pressure and react quickly to operational issues.

Has excellent organisational and administrative skills.

Is confident using transport systems and Microsoft Office.

Works well independently and as part of a team.

Has a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Shift Options05:30 14:00 | Monday to Friday13:30 22:00 | Monday to Friday18:00 06:00 | Monday to Thursday Key Responsibilities Coordinate the day-to-day running of transport operations.

Manage and support a team of drivers.

Build strong relationships with drivers and customers.

Monitor transport movements using Webfleet.

Keep customers updated on delivery progress and any operational issues.

Ensure vehicles and trailers are presented for servicing and maintenance.

Record vehicle defects and arrange corrective actions.

Complete vehicle gatehouse checks and compliance audits.

Book agency drivers when required.

Complete transport invoicing accurately and on time.

Monitor and report internal and customer KPIs.

Maintain training records and compliance documentation.

Manage third-party suppliers.

Oversee fuel card and Ad Blue usage.

Support continuous improvement and departmental projects.

Provide holiday and occasional weekend cover when required.
