Thirsk £32,925 pa, plus Benefits, including 5% pension & 31 - 38 days’ holiday per year! 07.00am – 16.00pm (6 days per week, Mon-Sun)
Requirements:
- Driving licence & own transport
- Willingness & desire to provide excellent standards of care & welfare to animals (Formal training & qualifications provided)
- Previous livestock experience ideal, especially birds / commercial poultry farm, but all careers & backgrounds are considered!
- Biosecure living conditions - no avian or porcine pets at home.
- NVQ/Diploma level 3 in poultry would be beneficial; however full training will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Complete feeding, vaccinating and grading of birds.
- Maintain biosecurity practices and optimum environmental conditions to ensure bird welfare.
- General site maintenance, keeping accurate records, and ensuring adherence to health and safety procedures.
- Supporting the Farm Manager - supervising staff and third parties while on site, and covering duties when required.
IMPORTANT:
- A driving licence and own transport is required for this role
- For biosecurity purposes, you must not own any avian or porcine pets at home to be suitable for this role
