We're recruiting on behalf of a leading food manufacturing company for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their experienced engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on modern production equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment where no two days are the same. The Role You'll play a key role in keeping production running by carrying out reactive and planned maintenance across a variety of automated manufacturing equipment. Your responsibilities will include: * Responding to equipment breakdowns quickly and effectively * Electrical and mechanical fault finding * Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) * Repairing, testing and recommissioning production machinery * Supporting continuous improvement initiatives * Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with engineering standards * Participating in the engineering call-out rota What We're Looking For We're keen to speak with engineers who have: * Strong electrical bias (approximately 70/30 Electrical/Mechanical) * Previous experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or another fast-paced production environment * Excellent electrical fault-finding skills * Experience working on automated or high-speed manufacturing machinery * Ability to work independently and under pressure * Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, City & Guilds or equivalent experience) What's On Offer? * £20.59 per hour * Overtime paid at 1.25x after 40 hours * Weekly call-out allowance (£100 standby payment plus £50 per call-out, plus hourly rate when attending) * 30 days holiday * Company pension * Stable permanent employment * Long-term career development within a growing engineering team Shift Pattern Week 1 * Monday-Friday: 6:00am-1:45pm * Saturday: 6:00am-Finish Week 2 * Monday-Friday: 1:45pm-9:45pm If you're a proactive maintenance engineer looking for your next long-term opportunity, we'd love to hear from you
