SourceCo Recruitment are looking for a Logistics Coordinator for a long-term client in the heart of Redditch. In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently across the UK.
The Working Hours:
- Tuesday to Friday 19:00pm - 07:00am (will include some weekend working)
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage customer enquiries and orders via phone and email
- Plan, book, and track shipments across road and airfreight services
- Provide accurate quotations for UK and European transport
- Source and liaise with transport suppliers to deliver cost-effective solutions
- Handle time-critical and line stoppage situations with urgency
- Maintain regular communication with customers, providing updates on job progress
- Ensure accurate system input, job completion, and documentation management (PODs, purchase orders, etc.)
- Review routes and suppliers to maximise efficiency and profitability
- Coordinate closely with warehouse, operations, and accounts teams
- Monitor KPIs and ensure service levels are consistently achieved
- Maintain accurate system data and ensure timely file closure and invoicing readiness
The Ideal Candidate will have:
- Proven experience within transport planning or freight forwarding
- Strong knowledge of UK and European transport operations
- Experience with time-critical, airfreight, and road freight solutions
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in system/data management
- Computer literate (MS Office and transport systems)
- CPC qualification (advantageous but not essential)
