SourceCo Recruitment are seeking an experienced European Freight Forwarder to join a busy and fast-paced logistics operation in Redditch. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing European freight movements from booking through to completion, delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring efficient and cost-effective transport solutions.
Salary: Up to 35k depending on experience
Working Hours: 08:30 17:30 Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day coordination of European freight shipments.
- Process Import and Export customs clearance documentation where required.
- Create and maintain job files, ensuring all paperwork and system updates are completed accurately.
- Process shipments through the Multifreight system.
- Liaise with customers regarding quotations, bookings, shipment updates, and problem resolution.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate competitive transport rates.
- Work closely with the Sales Team to provide quotations and support business opportunities.
- Produce internal reports, analysis, and KPI statistics and complete invoicing and ensure all jobs are closed accurately.
The ideal Candidate will have the following:
- Previous experience within European freight forwarding or transport operations is essential.
- Strong understanding of European road freight, import/export procedures.
