The predicted salary is between 13 - 17 Β£ per hour.

Salary: Β£14.00 – Β£17.50 per hour (dependent on experience)

Hours: 40 hours per week (flexible working hours available)

SourceCo are currently hiring for an established engineering and manufacturing business for an experienced Machinist Fitter to join its production team. This is a hands-on role within a well-organised workshop environment, ideal for someone who takes pride in engineering and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating conventional machinery including lathes, vertical and horizontal borers, and drilling machines
  • Producing components to engineering drawings and specifications
  • Supporting general fitting and workshop activities as required
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety and workmanship
  • Working collaboratively within an established production team

Essentials

  • Proven experience utilising manual machinery
  • Confident using manual machinery (lathes, borers, drills, etc.)
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
  • Comfortable working as part of a team

Desirables

  • Engineering qualifications or time served apprenticeship
  • Experience working in a regulated or quality driven environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexible approach to work and willingness to support production needs
