SourceCo are currently hiring for an established engineering and manufacturing business for an experienced Machinist Fitter to join its production team. This is a hands-on role within a well-organised workshop environment, ideal for someone who takes pride in engineering and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating conventional machinery including lathes, vertical and horizontal borers, and drilling machines
- Producing components to engineering drawings and specifications
- Supporting general fitting and workshop activities as required
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety and workmanship
- Working collaboratively within an established production team
Essentials
- Proven experience utilising manual machinery
- Confident using manual machinery (lathes, borers, drills, etc.)
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Comfortable working as part of a team
Desirables
- Engineering qualifications or time served apprenticeship
- Experience working in a regulated or quality driven environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible approach to work and willingness to support production needs
