Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for your next step role? SourceCo Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced fitters for a globally known client based in Bromsgrove. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, a proactive approach, and the flexibility to support both workshop and occasional on-site work.
Salary: £31k-£35k Per Annum + Bonus
Working hours: Monday - Friday 08:00 to 17:00
What you'll be doing:
- Strip down and assess industrial gearboxes and motors
- Carry out fault finding and complete service/job reports
- Clean and degrease mechanical components
- Replace faulty gears, shafts, bearings, and seals to manufacturer specifications
- Assemble and test gearboxes and motors
- Prepare equipment for dispatch, including painting and finishing
- Maintain high standards of health & safety within the workshop
What we are looking for:
- Strong mechanical fitting experience (essential)
- Basic electrical knowledge (ideally)
- Experience using machining equipment (e.g. lathes, presses, milling machines)
- Good level of computer literacy
- Flexible attitude and willingness to work on customer sites when required
- Full UK driving licence (ideally)
- Forklift licence (advantageous but not essential)
