Part-Time Assistant Accountant position in Tewkesbury, 22.5 hours per week – Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. Competitive Salary + Benefits.

SourceCo are currently hiring for a well-established and highly respected regional business seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join its Finance Team on a part-time basis. Operating from a modern site in Tewkesbury, the company works closely with local suppliers and communities and has built a strong reputation for quality, sustainability, and long-term growth.

The Role

Working closely with the Financial Accountant and wider Finance Team, you will support the day-to-day financial operations while ensuring accurate financial records, reconciliations, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain financial records including bank postings and reconciliations
  • Raise tenant rent invoices and manage associated credit control
  • Prepare month-end accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Balance intercompany accounts
  • Support annual audit requirements
  • Transfer operational data into relevant finance systems and spreadsheets
  • Perform supplier statement reconciliations
  • Upload BACS payment files to the banking system

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities
  • A supportive team player with a proactive attitude
  • AAT Level 3 or Level 4 (preferred)
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and Word
  • Experience using Sage accounting systems (Sage 200 desirable)
