We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established distribution business based in Colnbrook for a Stores/ Yard person. This is a hands-on role within a busy operations team, where accuracy, teamwork and pace are key. You’ll be involved in the day-to-day movement of goods, ensuring customers receive the correct products, on time, every time. The successful candidate will be proactive, reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Unloading inbound deliveries from a range of vehicles, from vans up to articulated lorries
- Checking goods against delivery notes and reporting any discrepancies or defects
- Loading outbound delivery vehicles with customer orders
- Working as part of a team to prepare goods for the next day, maximising packing efficiency
- Putting stock away and maintaining tidy, organised indoor and outdoor storage areas
- Working closely with Transport and Stores management to ensure daily targets are met
Requirements
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Strong focus on health and safety at all times
- Willingness to work in a predominantly outdoor environment
