Warehouse Operative – Logistics Support
Location: Wokingham, Berkshire
Salary: £15,873
Job Type: Part time, Permanent
Hours: Monday – Friday, 10:30 – 16:00 (30 minutes unpain break)
Description:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a proactive and reliable Warehouse Operative to join a busy logistics department. This hands-on role offers variety in day-to-day responsibilities and would suit someone with a strong work ethic and keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the logistics department with daily operations, including unloading and checking incoming stock
- Report delivery discrepancies to the relevant account manager and client
- Accurately locate and record stock within designated client areas
- Process client orders using Warehouse Management Software (training provided)
- Accurately pick, pack, label and dispatch orders following client-specific requirements
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workspace in line with Health & Safety procedures
- Follow environmental policies, including recycling and packaging protocols
Technical Requirements:
- Good keyboard and IT skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Counterbalance forklift licence (essential)
- Extended-reach forklift licence (preferred – training available)
- Physically capable of lifting up to 25kg and using height-access equipment
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
