Our client, a well-established and highly regarded law firm, is looking to recruit an experienced Residential Conveyancing Secretary to join their busy and friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous experience supporting fee earners within Residential Conveyancing, with exposure to Commercial Conveyancing being highly desirable. You'll be joining a firm that prides itself on delivering exceptional client service and maintaining the highest professional standards.
Salary: £28k-£30k DOE
The Role
- Supporting Partners and Fee Earners, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing secretarial and administrative support to the conveyancing team.
- Managing telephone enquiries and taking accurate messages.
- Scheduling appointments and client meetings.
- Preparing and typing correspondence, legal documents, emails and reports using digital dictation.
- Opening, maintaining and archiving client files.
- Coordinating the flow of information between departments and clients.
- Managing incoming and outgoing post and emails.
- Updating client records and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Assisting with accounting and bookkeeping administration.
- Ordering office supplies and maintaining office records.
- Conducting legal and property-related research when required.
- Supporting the preparation of presentations and seminars.
- Assisting with general office administration and any additional duties appropriate to the role.
About You
- To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Previous experience as a Conveyancing Secretary or Legal Secretary.
- Experience supporting Residential Conveyancing matters (Commercial Conveyancing experience is advantageous).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- The ability to prioritise a busy workload.
- A professional and courteous approach when dealing with clients and colleagues.
- A high level of discretion and confidentiality.
