Company Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Fleet. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Turner to join their late-shift production team.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for the setting and operating of twin-spindle Mill/Turn lathes, working with Fanuc controls. While experience at this level is advantageous, full training will be provided for a skilled CNC Turner who is keen to develop further.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate CNC twin-spindle Mill/Turn lathes
  • Work with Fanuc-based programming (programming experience desirable but not essential)
  • Read and work from engineering drawings to exact tolerances
  • Maintain product quality and meet production targets
  • Carry out basic machine maintenance
  • Work safely and collaboratively within the production team

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience as a CNC Turner (essential)
  • Familiarity with Fanuc controls (highly desirable)
  • Ability to set and operate CNC machinery confidently
  • Good understanding of precision machining
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn advanced Mill/Turn skills
  • Reliable, committed, and suited to late-shift working

Training & Development

Comprehensive training is available for a skilled turner who wishes to progress into more advanced Mill/Turn machining.

Hours & Pay

  • Hourly Rate: £18.50
  • Shift Allowance: 1.33 (applied to the standard hourly rate)
  • Working Week: 39 hours
  • Shift Pattern: Monday–Thursday: 16:00–00:30, Friday: 15:00–22:30

Overtime Rates

  • Weekdays: 1.25x
  • Saturdays: 1.5x

Production Bonus

A monthly production bonus is paid on all hours worked, including overtime, depending on output achieved.

Benefits

  • Employee pension contribution: 4.7% (or 5.88% with salary sacrifice)
  • Employer pension contribution: 6.8%
  • Death in service benefit: 1x annual salary
