Finance Assistant Our client is looking for a Finance Assistant to support their busy accounts department.
As Finance Assistant, you'll provide day-to-day support across a variety of finance functions, helping to ensure the smooth running of the department.
The position offers a varied workload, with responsibilities spanning purchase ledger, reconciliations, financial administration and reporting.
We're looking for someone who is organised, dependable and able to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the purchase ledger, including supplier reconciliations, creditor management and BACS processing.
- Process supplier payments through BACS and bank transfers.
- Check invoices and expense claims for correct coding, authorisation and posting.
- Maintain both electronic and paper filing systems, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
- Support Regional Treasurers by providing guidance on accounting software, financial record keeping and expenditure processing.
- Assist with the preparation, monitoring and distribution of budgets and quarterly financial reports.
- Administer company credit cards, including setting up new accounts, monitoring transactions, reconciling statements and posting expenditure to the ledger.
