Our client is looking for an Accounts Assistant (purchase and sales ledger).
This is a varied role where you'll become an integral part of the team, taking ownership of the purchase and sales ledger while assisting with general office administration when required.
Reporting directly to the Directors, your responsibilities will include: Purchase Ledger Processing supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
Matching purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
Reconciling supplier statements.
Preparing supplier payment runs.
Resolving invoice queries with suppliers.
Maintaining accurate supplier records.
Sales Ledger Raising sales invoices.
Allocating incoming customer payments.
Chasing outstanding invoices and maintaining aged debt reports.
Reconciling customer accounts.
Resolving customer account queries.
General Finance Duties Bank reconciliations.
Processing expenses.
Assisting with month-end procedures.
Maintaining accurate financial records.
Filing and organising finance documentation.
Liaising with the company's external accountant where required.
