Are you a driven Account Manager with a passion for customer satisfaction and business growth? Our client is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join their dynamic team. In this role, you'll be responsible for nurturing and expanding customer accounts, retaining existing clients, and identifying new business opportunities. Key Responsibilities:
- Prospecting: Identify and reach out to prospective customers to generate new business opportunities.
- Customer Management: Understand and manage the needs of both new and existing customers, ensuring their requirements are met.
- Quotations: Produce competitive and accurate quotations in a timely manner, and follow up to secure orders.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any technical or delivery issues that arise, maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Order Management: Oversee orders through the system, from stock checks and liaising with stores to raising delivery paperwork and scheduling delivery dates.
- Customer Interaction: Handle customer collections and cash sales with professionalism and efficiency.
- Daily Prioritization: Manage and prioritize daily activities, including meeting quote and order deadlines.
Person / Experience Required:
- Sales & Account Management: Previous experience in sales and account management, ideally within a technical environment.
- Product Knowledge: Ability to quickly understand a large product range and provide accurate information to customers.
- Initiative & Negotiation: Capable of working independently, producing quotes, and negotiating prices with customers.
- Customer Focus: A strong focus on customer service with a problem-solving approach.
- Team Player: Conscientious, reliable, and able to work well within a team while maintaining efficiency and diplomacy.
- Self-Motivation: A can-do attitude with a passion for growing and developing both new and existing accounts.
- Sales Leads: Ability to generate and follow through on sales leads.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience working with computerized stock and quotation software.
- Educational Background: Good GCSE and A-level results are required. An HNC/HND or degree would be beneficial but is not essential.
