The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Logistics & Fulfilment Supervisor / Manager to join our client’s team in Reading. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on logistics professional who enjoys leading a team, improving processes and taking ownership of day-to-day operational performance. You’ll play a key role in ensuring logistics and fulfilment operations run smoothly, efficiently and to schedule, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting production management with resource planning and utilisation
  • Working closely with client services and production teams to ensure delivery targets are achieved
  • Managing and supporting a team, including absence management, holidays, training and development
  • Resolving employee queries and conflicts effectively
  • Acting as the Health & Safety lead for the department
  • Planning ahead and creating a proactive, solution-focused culture
  • Ensuring the team has the tools, equipment and resources required
  • Maintaining a safe, positive and productive working environment
  • Driving continuous improvement across processes and operations
  • Monitoring performance, quality and delivery standards
  • Supporting commercial decision-making and effective cost control

What We're Looking For

  • Previous supervisory or management experience within logistics, fulfilment or warehouse operations
  • Proven experience managing and leading a team
  • Strong understanding of warehouse and logistics operations
  • Experience working within a fast-paced environment
  • Competent using order processing, ERP or warehouse management systems
  • Strong Excel, data handling and reporting skills
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety and compliance
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of cost control
