Our client is looking for a Hire Controller to join their busy team, supporting two sites across Berkshire and Surrey (a driving license is required).

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring customers receive excellent service while helping to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as a first point of contact for customers via telephone, email, and in person.
- Managing equipment hire bookings and sales orders from enquiry through to completion.
- Coordinating the daily delivery and collection schedule to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Supporting the planning and allocation of driver workloads, responding to changing customer requirements throughout the day.
- Building product knowledge to confidently advise customers on suitable equipment and services.
- Maintaining stock levels and ensuring displays and sales areas are well presented.
- Monitoring vehicle servicing, inspections, and compliance requirements.
- Assisting with operational reporting and performance targets.
- Supporting promotional activities, customer events, and local marketing initiatives.
- Ensuring high standards of housekeeping, health and safety, and operational compliance are maintained at all times.
- Assisting with general branch administration and operational duties as required.

The ideal candidate will have experience within a customer service, hire desk, logistics, transport planning, operations, or branch coordination environment.
