Overview
This role sits at the early stage of building a new digital marketplace with a focus on AI and content. You will join a small project team delivering a pilot to test assumptions, prototype a technical solution, and launch a minimum lovable product that will inform the platform’s future direction. Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the platform architecture across cloud infrastructure, data platforms, application services, APIs, integrations, and security.
- Establish and promote scalable data standards, schemas, and metadata in partnership with Solutions Architects.
- Champion best practices in cloud architecture, API design, integration patterns, and security, with hands-on support for complex implementations and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to technical governance to ensure reliability, security, and future adaptability.
- Produce architecture documentation, design artefacts, and technical roadmaps.
- Work closely with the Product Manager, project leadership, and platform provider to deliver the minimum lovable product and shape future platform evolution.
Qualifications
- Experience in software engineering, platform engineering, systems design, or technical architecture.
- Proven experience designing and supporting cloud-native, distributed systems in production.
- Strong hands-on expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong data architecture skills, including metadata and schema design.
- Ability to critically assess and improve technical designs from internal teams or third parties.
- Experience working in environments with security, compliance, or data governance requirements.
Preferred Experience
- Building scalable, data-intensive platforms.
- Integrating multiple internal and external systems.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code, automation, and modern DevOps practices.
