Business Analyst – Margin Services – Contract

We’re looking for a Technical Business Analyst with strong experience in margining (IM, VM, IA) to join a leading consultancy on a contract basis. This role involves working with developers, quants, and business teams to enhance margining systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive system enhancements and builds for margining processes across cleared and uncleared derivatives.
- Collaborate with developers, quants, and risk teams to implement margin calculation models and automation.
- Define business and functional requirements for margin system upgrades.
- Work on data integration, API design, and workflow automation for margin services.
- Ensure compliance with UMR, EMIR, Basel III, and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct data analysis (SQL, Python, Spark) to optimize margin methodologies.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in margin services, risk, or collateral management.
- Strong understanding of IM, VM, IA, and regulatory-driven margining frameworks.
- Experience working with developers on system enhancements and automation.
- Experience with SQL, Python, or Spark for data analysis and prototyping.
- Exposure to vendor platforms or in-house risk/margin platforms.
- Agile delivery experience, working in a fast-paced technical environment.
