Senior Business Analyst – Front Office/ Quantitative Development London Contract – inside IR35 £We’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst with a strong technical background and experience working closely with quants in a front office environment. You\’ll join a high-performing front office technology team focused on supporting the equities trading team. Shape the product vision by capturing business context, defining scope, and articulating the target-state value proposition. Apply a range of techniques — data analysis, process modelling, architectural mapping — to solve complex, cross-functional problems. Develop deep domain expertise in the tools and platforms your team delivers, with a strong grasp of underlying data and modelling workflows. Drive collaboration across quant, engineering, UX, and product teams through documentation, structured workshops, and targeted deep dives. Help structure and prioritise the backlog, ensuring that epics and user stories are clear, testable, and value-driven. Support sprint delivery by refining scope, clarifying intent, and ensuring smooth handoff between analysis and implementation. Proven experience as a Business Analyst in investment management or investment banking – MUST have exposure to quantitative investing/ trading Strong technical background — able to engage with developers and understand system architecture, data models, and APIs. Familiarity with front-office investment systems (e.g. order management, portfolio construction, risk and analytics platforms). Hands-on skills with SQL or Python for data analysis and validation. Experience working on system migrations or greenfield platform builds in a front-office context.
