A leading London Market Insurance firm is seeking a Business Data Analyst with strong data analysis experience in the specialty insurance sector. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to gather and interpret data, deliver insights, and support strategic decision-making.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a solid data background and deep understanding of specialty insurance
- Translate complex business needs into actionable data solutions
- Collaborate with IT architects and the Central Data Office
- Support the harmonisation of data into a central analytics platform
This is a key role in the firm’s ambitious data transformation journey, offering the opportunity to shape its digital and analytics future.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Data/Business Analyst in the insurance industry, ideally London Market
- Strong SQL skills (Python desirable) and experience with relational databases
- Ability to translate business needs into technical data solutions
- Familiarity with ETL, data modelling, and data governance
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience with Power BI, Azure, and tools like Informatica, Collibra, Alation
Desirable
- Knowledge of Subscribe, Majesco, Websure
- Understanding of Lloyd’s messaging protocols
- Strong grasp of insurance data structures and regulatory requirements
