We are seeking a motivated Platform Engineer to join a fast-paced technology organization operating large-scale, globally distributed systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, working with modern cloud technologies, and collaborating across engineering teams to improve platform reliability, performance, and scalability.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for critical infrastructure supporting globally distributed services.
  • Identify, drive, and implement improvements to platform performance, reliability, and operational processes.
  • Collaborate closely with software engineering teams on architecture, prioritization, and technical solutions.
  • Partner with infrastructure and operations teams to improve standards, tooling, and shared services.
  • Manage relationships with cloud and technology providers, helping evaluate and onboard new solutions where appropriate.
  • Apply strong Linux and networking expertise to troubleshooting, optimization, and production support.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and proactively reduce operational overhead through automation and platform enhancements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or DevOps.
  • Hands-on experience supporting production workloads in cloud environments, with strong networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with at least one scripting or programming language such as Bash, Python, Java, C#, Rust, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux systems, networking concepts, and performance optimization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms, including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, or similar tools.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tooling such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent technologies.
