As a Trainee Field Service Engineer you will be responsible for fixing, maintaining and installing weighing and labelling equipment to our clients customer base. With some technical background, you will liaise directly with customers ensuring you deliver an efficient professional. Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential for this role. Our client has a global footprint and as an integral part of the team you will be operating in food factory environments. This role provides full product training and the time to understand the nature of their operation. There are also plenty of opportunities to progress within the business if this is important to you. Over the last few years engineers have progressed to senior engineer and manager levels.

- Service, install and break fix a wide range of mechanical and electrical weighing and inspection equipment, ranging from static scales to automatic check weighing and automatic weigh price labelling systems, to metal detection, X-RAY and vision inspection.
- Investigating complex technical issues such as electrical/ mechanical breakdowns.
- Maintain company vehicle in a clean and organized fashion ensuring all maintenance requirements are met in accordance with the policy for company vehicle drivers.
- Demonstrate knowledge of mechanical and electrical skill.
- Maintain Calibrated weighs & ensure they are compliant.
- When calibrating/ verifying equipment, all legal standards are met & work carried out to highest standard.
- Communicate professionally and well with clients as this is an important part of the role.
- Essential: Some experience in mechanical and electrical engineering. Engineering background. Excellent communication skills.
- Advantageous: Fast paced manufacturing environment experience. Experience in the weighing industry or similar.

Additional Information:The role involves travelling directly from home to site, across the Southern region. Locations that will be taken into consideration include: Bristol, Gloucester, Swindon, Yeovil and surrounding areas. Standard working hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm with a 30-minute lunch break. There are overtime opportunities during the week and at the weekend. Travel time is paid door to door from the moment you leave home.
