A leading manufacturer and supplier of waste compaction equipment and balers is looking for skilled Field Service Engineers to join their growing team. With increasing demand for high-quality installation, servicing and maintenance across the UK, now is the perfect time to come on board.

As a Field Service Engineer, youll be hands-on and self-motivated, supporting clients by maintaining and repairing waste management equipmentincluding compactors and balersacross various industries.

This is a mobile role requiring regular UK travel and occasional overnight stays. Youll be given all the tools you need to succeed, including a company van, tablet, mobile phone, and PPE. Locations to be considered include Manchester, Liverpool, Stockport, Sheffield, Leeds and similar.

Responsibilities:

  • Service, maintain and repair compactors, balers, and other waste management machinery.

  • Diagnose technical issues and carry out repairs on-site.

  • Carry out equipment installations and provide technical support.

  • Deliver basic training and guidance to customers on equipment use.

  • Update job statuses in real-time using a company-supplied tablet.

  • Build strong customer relationships through effective communication and reliability.

Experience:

  • Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding abilities.

  • Experience working with compactors, balers, or similar industrial machinery.

  • Comfortable using hand tools, electrical tools, lifting equipment, and hot work tools.

  • Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks.

  • Proven experience in a field-based engineering role (minimum 1 year).

  • Excellent time management, communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Full UK driving licence required.
