Source Supply are seeking to appoint a highly skilled, conscientious, and committed Teaching Assistant to join a Year 4 team within a large, culturally diverse and inclusive primary school in Sheffield. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a practitioner who is dedicated to supporting high standards of teaching and learning, and who is passionate about enabling all pupils to achieve their full potential within a nurturing and aspirational environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work under the direction and supervision of the class teacher and senior leadership team to provide high-quality classroom support and deliver targeted interventions.
  • Support pupils’ academic progress, as well as their social and emotional development, ensuring that barriers to learning are effectively addressed.
  • Contribute to the planning, preparation and evaluation of learning activities and support the implementation of a broad and balanced curriculum in line with national expectations.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children in a school or specialist setting.
  • A nurturing, patient and consistent approach.
  • Referenceable experience working in a school setting.
  • A passion for education, with a desire to help young people thrive.
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ideally hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
