About the role:

Source Supply are seeking to appoint a highly skilled, conscientious, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join the Year 3 team within a large, culturally diverse, and inclusive primary school in Sheffield. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic practitioner who is committed to supporting high standards of teaching and learning, and who is passionate about ensuring that every pupil is empowered to achieve their full potential within a nurturing, supportive, and aspirational environment.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality classroom support, deliver targeted interventions, support pupils’ academic achievement alongside their social and emotional development, and ensure barriers to learning are identified and effectively addressed. They will also contribute to the planning, preparation, and evaluation of learning activities, supporting the delivery of a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum in line with national expectations. A proactive and flexible approach, strong interpersonal skills, and a genuine commitment to inclusive education will be essential for success.

Requirements:

  • Experience in working with children in a school or specialist setting
  • A nurturing, patient and consistent approach
  • Referenceable experience working in a school setting
  • A passion for education and a desire to help young people thrive
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Ideally hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to a vehicle
