Source Supply are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a reception team in a large, vibrant, and multicultural primary school in South Sheffield. The school is proud of its strong community ethos, where every child and adult is valued, respected, and supported to thrive. Staff work collaboratively to create a warm, inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and fosters a love of learning from the very beginning of each child’s educational journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and creative learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Working with individuals and small groups of children to support their learning and development.
  • Helping create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing classroom environment.
  • Encouraging children’s social, emotional, and communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Experience in working with children in a school or specialist setting.
  • A nurturing, patient and consistent approach.
  • Have referenceable experience working in a school setting.
  • Be passionate about education, with a desire to help young people thrive.
  • Be an excellent communicator with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Ideally hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
