Are you a compassionate, dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are seeking an enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive primary school community in Sheffield. We are recruiting for a large, multicultural primary school where diversity is celebrated and every child is valued. The school prides itself on fostering a nurturing environment where pupils from a wide range of backgrounds can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to support pupils with additional needs. This may include working one-to-one or with small groups, adapting learning activities, and helping to create an inclusive classroom environment where all children can succeed.
Requirements
- Experience in working with children in a school or specialist setting
- A nurturing, patient and consistent approach
- Referenceable experience working in a school setting
- Passion for education, with a desire to help young people thrive
- Excellent communication skills with a positive, can‑do attitude
- Ideally hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to a vehicle
