A large, inclusive, and forward thinking primary school in Chesterfield is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Key Stage 1 team, supporting pupils in a Year 1/2 mixed ability class. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally within a supportive and nurturing school environment.

Working alongside an experienced class teacher, you will play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning. You will work with whole classes, small groups, and individual pupils, helping to ensure all children regardless of ability are engaged, challenged, and supported to reach their full potential.

Requirements
  • Experience in working with children in a school or specialist setting
  • A nurturing, patient and consistent approach
  • Referenceable experience working in a school setting
  • Passion for education, with a desire to help young people thrive
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Ideally hold a full, clean driving licence and have access to a vehicle
