Exciting growth opportunity – developing a department. Source Solutions are recruiting a key Senior Geotechnical Engineer position with a successful and growing provider of subsea engineering services, with the opportunity to develop the Geotechnical department and team, adding real value and taking real ownership of the function. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a number of years’ experience in an Offshore Geotechnical Engineer/Senior Geotechnical Engineer position, who is looking to take a step on to develop and lead a department. Future opportunities like this don’t come around very often!
As part of the day-to-day, the Senior Geotechnical Engineer will handle:
- Design and analysis of offshore foundations (such as driven pile, suction, caissons etc)
- Feasibility studies and risk assessments
- Relevant R&D activities
- All geotechnical portions of active projects, working with other departments and engineers as well as managing 3rd party contractors
As Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be bringing your expertise to the business in order to help them in building the division, however, the company are truly supportive and they will not expect you to simply come in to the business and grow them a department on your own!
Senior Geotechnical Engineer Candidate Profile:
- Degree in a relevant subject (Civil/Offshore/Geoenvironmental/Technical etc)
- Experience in the design and analysis of offshore foundations
- Understanding of site investigation techniques and interpretation of findings
- Experience in dealing with Classification Societies and an understanding of relevant design codes and standards
