Source Solutions are proud to be working with a leading, highly regarded organisation and platinum award investor in people within electrical infrastructure, a pioneer for reduced carbon solutions and innovator within net zero strategy, to identify a skilled and experienced Project Procurement Specialist to play a key part in upcoming tenders, which will shape the future of electricity infrastructure in London and the South East.
Working in a CIPS Platinum Accredited team, the Project Procurement Specialist will work mainly across Direct categories for works and services (related to street-works, civils, excavation, infrastructure works etc), tied directly to the construction of electricity infrastructure. The role will involve a lot of contract work with these works and services providers, working mostly with NEC contracts (training provided if required).
Additionally, the Project Procurement Specialist will play a huge role in some very exciting tendering events that will ensure the formation of key strategic alliances which will run for the next 1-2 decades and sit over cumulative works up to £1bn! All of these works will be essential to the capacity and resilience of the UK’s electricity networks.
This is a hugely exciting opportunity for a Procurement professional with strong experience of procurement and contract processes relating to works and services, allied to the energy sector, who is an excellent communicator with a proactive mindset focussed on finding the answers and solutions.
Candidate profile:
- Strong procurement / category management experience covering works and services
- Experience leading the cradle-to-grave procurement lifecycle for multi-million pound sourcing projects
- Experience in contracts – ideally NEC contracts
- Experience in the energy sector from any angle (such as electricity, civils, street-works etc)
- Ability to work autonomously and lead sourcing and procurement activities
- Excellent communicator with confidence in dealing with numerous stakeholders
