About the Role: The Strategy Analyst at Source EV will support the Head of Commercial and Commercial Director on strategic projects to drive scale and improve profitability. This work is central to our growth plans, which include the rollout of at least 300 ultra-rapid charging hubs across the UK.
Location: Hybrid - 1-2 days per week in our office in Canary Wharf, London.
What you will be doing:
- Demand modelling and market segmentation: analyse UK-wide charger utilisation data and the factors driving it, to strengthen site business cases and improve confidence in future locations.
- New revenue streams, partnerships and propositions: evaluate the pros and cons of additional revenue streams and develop clear criteria for when each should be added to a charging location.
- Wider strategic projects: e.g. land acquisition and retail strategy, profitability levers such as grid optimisation, solar and batteries, M&A assessment, pricing, and market and competitor analysis.
You’ll work closely with the Commercial, Land, Data and Business Development teams, and present findings directly to senior management.
What the ideal candidate will bring:
- Working knowledge of the EV charging, energy or transport sectors, including utilisation drivers and the levers that improve site profitability.
- 2+ years’ experience in strategy, consulting or data analytics, with a track record of identifying growth opportunities and evaluating them against business objectives.
- Experience researching market, competitor, technology and policy trends, and synthesising qualitative and quantitative data into clear recommendations.
- Commercial evaluation and business case development, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
- Financial modelling in Excel; familiarity with Python, Power Query or similar is a plus.
- Confident PowerPoint skills, with the ability to distil complex analysis into concise, decision-ready outputs and present to senior audiences.
- A self-starter who collaborates well across teams and is genuinely motivated by the decarbonisation of transport.
Compensation package: We offer a competitive salary & entitlements, plus excellent healthcare, pension, and wellbeing benefits, along with generous Life Insurance & Group Income Protection Insurance. Annual holiday of 26 days contractual leave, plus bank holidays (34 days in total), and up to 10 days of unpaid leave, with enhanced maternity/paternity leave and benefits.
