Logistics & Fulfilment Supervisor / Manager

Salary: £35,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday | 08:30 - 17:00
The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Logistics & Fulfilment Supervisor / Manager to join our client's team in Reading. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on logistics professional who enjoys leading a team, improving processes and taking ownership of day-to-day operational performance. You'll play a key role in ensuring logistics and fulfilment operations run smoothly, efficiently and to schedule, while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting production management with resource planning and utilisation
- Working closely with client services and production teams to ensure delivery targets are achieved
- Managing and supporting a team, including absence management, holidays, training and development
- Resolving employee queries and conflicts effectively
- Acting as the Health & Safety lead for the department
- Planning ahead and creating a proactive, solution-focused culture
- Ensuring the team has the tools, equipment and resources required
- Maintaining a safe, positive and productive working environment
- Driving continuous improvement across processes and operations
- Monitoring performance, quality and delivery standards
- Supporting commercial decision-making and effective cost control
What We're Looking For
- Previous supervisory or management experience within logistics, fulfilment or warehouse operations
- Proven experience managing and leading a team
- Strong understanding of warehouse and logistics operations
- Experience working within a fast-paced environment
- Competent using order processing, ERP or warehouse management systems
- Strong Excel, data handling and reporting skills
- Good understanding of Health & Safety and compliance
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of cost control
