Location: Yateley, Hampshire

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00

Salary: £35k - £40k DOE

We are currently seeking an organised, reliable, and hands-on Stores Operative to join our clients team on a permanent basis. This is a varied role where you’ll take ownership of stores operations while also supporting vehicle maintenance and facilities upkeep. You’ll play a key role in ensuring goods are received, stored, and distributed efficiently, stock is accurately controlled, and our equipment, vehicles, and facilities are well maintained and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stores Management
  • Receive, check, and log incoming deliveries
  • Pick, pack, and dispatch goods accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate stock records and carry out regular stock counts
  • Investigate and report stock discrepancies
  • Keep storage areas clean, safe, and well organised
  • Vehicle Maintenance
    • Coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs, and inspections in line with maintenance schedules
    • Carry out basic vehicle checks (fluids, tyres, etc.)
    • Liaise with drivers and suppliers to ensure timely maintenance and repairs
    • Support the allocation, cleanliness, and readiness of company vehicles
  • Facilities Support
    • Assist in maintaining the overall condition and safety of company premises
    • Support annual inspections of tools and equipment, including PAT testing (full training provided)
    • Coordinate building maintenance and minor repairs
    • Assist with general site upkeep and occasional project support
    • Support compliance with health, safety, and fire policies, including:
    • Conducting fire alarm tests
    • Assisting with fire drills and emergency procedures

    Ideal Candidate:

    • Previous experience working in a stores or warehouse environment
    • Full UK driving licence
    • Forklift licence
    • Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
    • A proactive, organised individual with a positive, can-do attitude
