About the Role We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Warehouse Operative to support the day-to-day running of their warehouse, ensuring goods are received, stored, picked, packed and dispatched accurately.
You'll help maintain stock accuracy, keep the warehouse organised, and ensure customer orders are delivered on time.
Working closely with the Warehouse Manager and operations team, this is a hands-on, physically demanding role suited to someone who is reliable, organised and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload and inspect incoming deliveries.
- Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
- Load and unload vehicles, including 40ft shipping containers.
- Maintain stock accuracy and assist with stock counts.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised and safe.
- Assist with product handling and heavy lifting where required.
- Report stock discrepancies, damages or operational issues.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Support the wider operations team as needed.
Skills & Experience
- Essential
- Previous experience operating a Counterbalance and/or Reach Forklift is essential.
- Must be a driver due to the location.
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Reliable, proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
